Steorts Garage Doors was founded by Bob Steorts in 1967. With Bob’s extensive background in electronics the business was initially repairing and installing garage door openers and quickly evolved into a comprehensive garage door and opener company.

Jim Nielson took over the company in 1987 when Bob retired. Jim continued the business, keeping the same company name and delivering the same great customer service! Jim with the help of valued employees and satisfied customers has continued to grow the business with a focus on exceptional customer service and quality products.

Blake Nielson (Jim’s son) became a valued part of the business in 2016, assuring our loyal customers a 3rd generation to serve their garage door and opener needs! Word of mouth advertising from happy customers has been the life blood of Steorts Garage Doors and we look forward to delivering the quality service you deserve.
